Spent Wednesday with Marianne where we did our usual drill: errands, lunch, shopping, smoking, drinking. Not necessarially in that order but fun altogether.

[livejournal.com profile] kitchenbeard called when he landed at SFO so we arranged to have dinner last night night. I picked him up at his hotel around 7pm and we headed off to the Castro. As we were driving up 18th Street all these people were in front of the bars staring....at what? A shooting? Someone got mugged? Finally when we got to 18th and Collingwood I rolled down the window and asked the guys in front of the Edge "What are you looking at?"

"The Eclipse!"

Duh. Forgot about that.

Got a quick space on Collingwood and we walked down 18th enjoying the views (Moon and Men). Then we headed over to Fuzio and had a nice dinner. Walked by Starbears (nobody we knew) but ran into my friend Les outside; then went up to the Edge for a drink and ran into Tom Lazarakis and Michael as well as my friend Rick (my old hotel competitor) and his roommate Dave. The music was loud it was hard to hear so we headed off to the Bonestar for South Park. Tonight's episode was on the rights of voting and poor Stan had to vote for a school mascot. His choice was a Douche or a Turd Sandwich. After South Park I dropped off Steven because it was already 1:30am his time and he was wiped.

[livejournal.com profile] kitchenbeard is a sweetheart. We had a lot of terrific conversations - food and otherwise. A very wise soul and like a lot of guys I've met on LJ, a real treat to know. I couldn't have asked for a nicer evening and experience. I sure hope that he gets to make the move out here - I think he'd be a great addition to SF.
