My day? Just perfect.

hotelbearsfToday started out perfectly. The weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm. For once I wasn't rushed to the office and I was able to enjoy a beautiful walk thorugh Huntington Park and down Mason Street to the J.W. Marriott and meet up with my pal Mark for breakfast. It was great to see him and catch up on our respective lives.
Every one of my friends has something special about them; the special part of Mark is his honest enthusiasm and his total joy for life. Happy, contented, going places - I couldn't be happier for him. Truly a great way to start the day. And to boot, he even showed up for breakfast in a snappy suit; he didn't even have to work today. Is that a friend or what?
I had a business lunch out at Perry's on Union Street. As I was waiting to hail a cab outside of my office building, a couple of construction workers were sitting on the wall gabbing away. Both were hunky and uber cute. The one guy said "anyways, they were talking about sex on a talk show. This one lady calls in and says 'my husband is the most wonderful man in the world. He's a great provider, great to me and the kids and makes me really happy. But when it comes to sex, he's not making it for me so I've got to haul out that vibrator twice a week.'"
His friend turns to him and says "man, that sucks."
"Turns out that call was from my wife."
Just then the cab pulled up and I got in; while this is none of my business, you've got to wonder how the guy felt.
